Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to the collapse of a building structure on which employees
were working;  On the
Children's Choice Med-City, Dallas, Texas on or about 4/10/02 at 7701
Forest Lane, Dallas,
Texas.
Feasible methods of abatement include, but are not limited to:
1)  The inspection of the work site by a competent person to assure
compliance with any and
all guidelines, instructions, and good engineering practices both for the
basic steel framework
and the truss installation on the framework.
2)  Follow the truss manufacturer's written directions by TPI on the
installation and bracing of
the trusses during the period where other planned sturctural support
components could not and/or
would not be installed.
c)  Development and implement an alternative plan to assure total
structural stability of the entire
structure by bracing of the steel framework during the truss installation
phase to prevent
framework movement.
