Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that employees were exposed to the hazard of: (a) Collapsing roof truss system which had been erected , thus exposing employees to being struck by or caught under falling trusses and/or falling from collapsing trusses, on or about October 1, 1996 at the U-Stor Project at 11702 66th Street N. in Clearwater, Florida. The roof truss system had not been adequately braced relative to the amount of bracing needed, the size of the bracing material used, and the locations of the braces to prevent collapse. One feasible and acceptable method of abatement, among others, to correct this hazard is to install the trusses in accordance with the "Truss Plate Institute's, H1B-91, "Handling, Installing and Bracing of Metal Plate Connected Wood Trusses.d
