On or about 9/11/97 at the Boynton Beach work site, employees were exposed
to being struck
by falling trusses due to continuous lateral bracing, cross bracing, and
diagonal bracing not
being installed during erection of the trusses.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard would be to
ensure that the bracing recommendations found in the Truss Plate
Institute's document BWT 76,
Bracing Wood Trusses are followed.
