Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:
The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment
which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely
to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that:
Employees working in the bucket and near the boom truck on the
shoulder of Northbound I-75 in Rossford, Ohio were not
protected from oncoming traffic by adequate advance warning
signs to motorist that shoulder work was being performed. One
feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard would be
to ensure conformance with the American National Standards
Institute D6.1-1971, Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices
for Streets and Highways are met.
