Feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazard are, but

1.  Develop a preventative maintenance program for the tractor/trailer
units as required
by the manufacturer.
2.  Establish a safe work procedure including a means of communication
between
employees before units are moved and the setting of brakes before drivers
exit tractors.
3.  Ensure employees are not in a position to be struck and/or caught
between units.
4.  Evaluate established procedure(s) to ensure effectiveness.
5.  Train employees in all established procedure and enforce the same.
