Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to falling and crushing injuries while riding the forks of a Sky-Trak Industrial truck. (a) Location: Jobsite; Home Quarters, Natick, MA. On March 10,1995, employees were allowed to ride the forks of a Sky-Trak industrial fork truck to access their work stations. Among other means, one feasible and acceptable means of abatement would be to provide other means for these employees to access their work stations, such as ladders, or man lifts that are approved for lifting employees.
