recognized hazards
that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that
employees were exposed to:
At the East Peoria Plane, emergency medical procedures were deficient in
that during
the off shift hours (2nd and 3rd) and Holiday shutdown periods the
Emergency
Medical Technicians had to clear the use of the ambulance with the security
department to transport injury victims.
AMONG OTHER METHODS, FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT
METHODS TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS................
1) Allow medically trained personnel to use the ambulance for
transportation of injury
victims as the deem necessary.
2) Revise the emergency medical procedures so that the role and authority
of the
medical services personnel is clearly defined during response to
emergencies for all
working hours.
