Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The %% employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: The Rotary automotive lift in the second bay of the service area was not maintained in a safe condition in that the guide post was not being used. Among other methods, one feasible means of abatement would be to repair the automotive lift in the second bay in accord with the manufacturer's recommendations to ensure its safe operation.
