Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees exposed to hazards while working at elevated heights during truck frame fabrication: (a)Employees while standing on the guardrails or climbing over the guardrails of an elevated platform were exposed to fall hazards while fabricating truck frames. The employees were exposed to fall hazard of 6 to 12 feet above the ground and were not using fall protection. A feasible abatement method is to follow the American National Standards Institute standard A92.6-1999, Standard for Self-Propelled Elevating Work Platforms as applicable. Certification, with date and method of abatement required. Certification of abatement is required by 29 CFR Part 1903 and is to be submitted within ten (10) calendar days after the abatement date.ment
