Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: "AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS...." Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment which were free of recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: On or about the week of August 18th 1997 employees were exposed to the hazard of falls while being lifted in a boatswains chair to heights of up to 100 feet or more by a hydraulic truck crane. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to adhere to ANSI B30.15 as referenced by 29 CFR 1926.550(b)(2) and/or utilize a personnel platform in the manner described in 29 CFR 1926.550(g).
