and personal care home employees ( RN's, LPN'S, CNA's, nurses aides,
dietary
aides, housekeeping and maintenance) to ensure safe evacuation during a
fire. The
employer's emergency fire plan did not include:
1) A written emergency evacuation plan for the personal care home
2) Training appropriate for the level of involvement and rescue
responsibility
required of the employees
3) Training frequently enough to assure that each employee was able to
perform
their assigned duties satisfactorily
4) Specific procedures to account for all employees after the evacuation
has been
completed
5) Designate employees to provide medical duties at safe areas
6) Names or regular job titles of persons or departments who can be
contacted for
further information or explanation of duties under the plan
7) Means to notify appropriate rescue personnel of fire or the existence
another
emergencies
8) Means to accommodate a safe evacuation during the 2nd and 3rd shifts
