Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: 1. Workers were exposed to a 16 foot fall hazard while moving several sheets of plywood into the house under construction through a 3rd floor window opening while standing on the platform that was elevated by the forks of the material handling Lull forklift truck. 2. The working platform, from which workers were installing exterior wood sheathing to the building was not equipped with standard railings nor were workers wearing appropriate personal fall protection system(s). Among other feasible methods, one feasible and acceptable method to control the hazard wold be to comply with the manufacturer's recommendations which were posted in the cab of the Forklift.ations
