Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employee in that the employee was exposed to a falling hazard. Jobsite: The employee was riding on the side of the John Deere front end loader. Among other methods, one feasible method of abatement is to establish and enforce a safety rule prohibiting employees from riding on the side of equipment.
