Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a 15 fall hazard: 360 FAIRFIELD AVENUE, BRIDGEPORT, CT. 06604: A worker exposed to a 15 foot fall hazard while climbing off a ladder to walk and work on a 2 foot wide "Short Roof", was not provided with any fall protection. Among others one feasible means of abatement would be to wear safety belts and harnesses attached to a lifeline which is independently secured/attached to a substantial member of the building.
