Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to multiple injuries from a fall: (a) East Penn Site, Collection Steel Frame Support - Employee noted at the edge of the steel structure with a fall potential of approximately 20 feet without wearing any fall protection or being provided any other means to guard against falling, on or about April 14, 1993. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to tie employees off with safety harness and lanyard.
