Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a potential crushing injury from a falling flatbed trailer. (a)Trailer Assembly Area - Employees were under an improperly secured aluminum flatbed trailer, weighing approximately 3000 pounds, while moving from one work location to another on dolly stands as occurred on February 13, 1995. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to utilize powered equipment, such as fork trucks, to move the trailers between the various work areas.s
