JOBSITE:  WHILE ATTEMPTING TO LIFT TWO BEAMS BY CHRISTMAS TREEING,
THE RIGGING CAME LOOSE AND THE LOAD DROPPED.
AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT
METHOD IS:  WHEN RAISING MORE THAN ONE BEAM AT THE SAME TIME,
SECURE THEM TOGETHER AND RAISE THEM AS ONE LOAD.  IF THIS IS NOT
FEASIBLE, USE A SAFER RIGGING METHOD THAN WAS BEING USED.  USE A
SAFETY CLIP ON THE HOOK.  USE CHOKER SLINGS FOR THE TWO BEAMS THAT
ARE SUSPENDED SEPARATELY FROM THE HOOK.
THE COMPANY WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS
OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN
OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 18231555, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1,
ISSUED ON 9/12/90 AND WITH A FINAL ORDER DATE OF 3/6/91.
