Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazards of falling and head injury from being struck by overhead branches while riding in the bucket of an aerial lift truck: ROUTE 58, Easton, Connecticut: On or about 3/24/2003, a Ford aerial lift bucket Truck, Model 4900, DT466E was observed traveling while a worker was riding inside the bucket of the truck. Among others, one feasible and acceptable abatement method is to prohibit employees from riding the bucket while not performing the actual work.l
