Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: %% (a) Roof of CPS - Aisles and passageways were not kept clear and in good repair with no obstruction that could create a hazard such as, pieces of drywall haphazardly placed over wood joists to form a walkway/work area for the employees running lighting conduit. %% One fessible means of abatement would be to assure passageways were of substantial, reliable construction, and built or installed in a workman-like manner, as specified in NFPA 101- Life Safety Code.
