Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)At 6418 Esperson Street; heat treat building, employees are permitted to pass through 4l"(1.01m) opening in guardrails of conveyor system while approx. 4,100 lbs of steel bar stock is being moved during operation. Among others, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct the hazard is to place guardrails on the missing sections.s
