Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the following conditions: Inadvertently being struck by the drawers in the event of dropping onto the employees feet when pulled out for removing or replacing a video cassette, causing serious injuries to the employees feet. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this condition may include, but is not limited to the following: 1.Removing or replacing the drawer guide tracks. 2.Inspect the drawers on a daily basis and check to be certain that all drawer guide tracks are operating normally. 3.Lubricate the drawer guide tracks on a monthly basis.

Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this condition may include, but is not limited to the following: 1.Remove the glass shelf. 2.Replace the glass shelf with one having round corners.e
