Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: The hazard of turning over a crane due to a non-functional brake on a Link-Belt HSP-8020, serial number 47H11517, 20 ton mobile hydraulic crane. One feasible and acceptable method, among others to correct this hazard is to test all controls for proper operation prior to operating and/or lifting a load as specified by section 3.1.3, paragraph (k) of the American National Standard Institute, standard B30.15-1973. Hazard: increased probability of injuryility

Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: The hazard of being injured from a crane turning over due to not blocking/cribbing the outriggers on a Linkbelt Model #HSP-8020, Serial #47H11517. One feasible and acceptable abatement method, among others, to correct this hazard is to provide substantial timbers, cribbing, or other structural members sufficient to distribute the load so as not to exceed safe bearing capacity of the underlying material as specified by section 3.4.3 of American National Standard Institute, Standard B30.15-1973. Hazard: increased probability of injuryility
