NYSLL Section 27 (a)(3)(a):  The employer not furnish employment and a
place of
employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or
likely to cause
death or serious physical harm to employees exposed to the hazard of being
infected with
Mycobacterium tuberculosis through unprotected contact with patients, who
were infectious
or suspected to be infectious with tuberculosis in that the Hospital's
Internal Security force
were exposed to the hazard of being infected by tuberculosis by repeated,
prolonged, indoor
contact with patients and classified by the Hospital in the "high - risk
group.  However, in
the last two year, 1996 and 1997, 14 and 15 respectively, were not
provided with the PPD
Staff, testing twice per year.  Feasible and useful abatement methods for
reducing this
hazard, as recommended by the CDC, include, but are not limited to:
a)The employer shall (at no cost to employees) offer TB Mantoux skin tests
for workers
with frequent, direct, exposure, every six month.
