NYSLL Article 2 Sec. 27 (a)(3)(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to its employees and which will provide reasonable and adequate protection to the lives, safety or health of its employees and (2) comply with the safety and health standards promulgated under this section. a)Brooklyn Development Center, the safety officers assigned to this facility are required to patrol the unsecured perimeter of the facility have not received self-defense training and may be injured whenever they attempt to carry out an arrest which they are required to perform. Feasible methods of abatement include but are not limited to: training courses addressing self-defense tactics as well as the use of physical force protocols would help greatly reduce the risk of injury to the officers who carry out arrest.
