likely to cause
death or serious physical harm to employees exposed to the hazard of being
infected with
Mycobacterium Tuberculosis through unprotected contact with patients
(inmates) who were
infectious or suspected to be infectious with tuberculosis in that:
a)Nine (9) employees were not periodically evaluated by TB Skin testing
even if the
NYC DOC classified the institutional aides as an "intermediate risk
category" and
therefore, to be skin-tested twice per year.
A feasible and useful abatement methods for as recommend by the CDS,
include, but
are not limited to:  Intradermal injection of tuberculin antigen (PPD)
with subsequent
measurement of the duration (Mantoux Method).
