North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)establishment, outbound terminal- employees required to manually open and close damaged dock doors which has resulted in employee injury due to falling door parts, sharp metal, and the amount of strength and force required to open/close the doors. Feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct the hazard would be to repair existing doors and/or replace doors and track frames.
