North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and
Health Act of North
Carolina:  The employer did not furnish to each of his employees
conditions of employment and
a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were
causing or likely to
cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were
exposed to:
a)establishment, storage area, east end - employee was standing between
girders
101A7 and A1 while girder 103B1 was being moved by overhead crane.  As a
result of that action employee was pinned between girders 101A7 and A1.

Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct
this hazard includes, but not limited to the following:
1.Ensure employees operating cranes survey the lifting and surrounding
areas to make sure other employees are not standing between material that
could be struck by a moving load.
2.Provide additional training or retraining to all crane operators to
ensure
compliance with company's safety rules pertaining to moving loads.
