Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: At small wood house used as water testing laboratory- employees had to perform water testing such as chlorine, pH, and turbidness, the laboratory ceiling was observed with filtration, where ther were fluorecent light sistem, electric cable, and six electric equipments. Hazard- electric shock, fire. At the filtration plant- employees had to walk over 8" and pass under 12" pipes to reach air and washing filter valves to operate them by hand due to automatic computer equipment, trade mark Infilco Degremont Inc. was broken. Hazard- fall. Among others methods, one feasible and aceptable abatement method to correct these hazards are repair the small wood house roof and the automatic computer equipment. En la casa pequena de madera usada como laboratorio de pruebas para agua- empleados tenian que realizar pruebas al agua tales como cloro, pH y turbides, el plafon del laboratorio fue observado con filtraciones, donde habian sistema de luces fluorescente, cables electricos y seis equipos electricos. Riesgo- sacudida electrica, fuego. En la planta de filtracion- empleados tenian que caminar sobre tuberias de 8" y pasar por debajo de otras de 12" para alcanzar valvulas de aire y lavados de filtros para ser operadas por ellos a mano debido a que el equipo computarizado automatico marca Infilco Degremont Inc. estaba roto. Riesgo- caida Entre otros metodos, uno factible y aceptable metodo de correccion para corregir estos riesgos son reparar el techo de la casa pequena de madera y el equipo automatico computarizado.
