Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the establishment, production area- employees had to fix hoses that
tranfer
hazardous  chemicals to the mixing machine or they had to use a 5 glns.

to pour the chemical into the truck mixer such as DARACEM 19, DARACEM
MR, MRDA-79(A), Water Repellent and Efflorescence Controlling Admixtures,
Daracem 100, and DAREX AEA, the Material Safety Data Sheets recomened
flush the eyes with plenty of water for 15 minutes in case of contact with
the
chemical.
Among others methods,one feasible and acceptable abatement methods to
correct
this hazard is a flushing eyes station.
Hazard- exposure ro overexposure to hazardous substances.
En el establecimiento, area de produccion- empleados tenian que arreglar
las
mangas que transfieren los quimicos peligrosos a la maquina de mexclado o
ellos
tenian que usar recipiente de 5 glns. al camion de mexclado tales como
DARACEM 19, DARACEM MR, MRDA-79(A),Water Repellent and
Efflorescence Controlling Admixtures, Daracem 100 y Darex AEA, las hojas de
datos de seguridad de los materiales recomendo el lavado de ojos con mucha
agua
por 15 minutos.
Entre otros metodos, uno factible y aceptable metodo para corregir este
riesgo
es
proveer una estacion de lavado de ojos.
Riesgo- expuesto o sobre expuesto a sustancias peligrosas.
