Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the operations center building: The illumination system within the
office varied from 18.8
to 53.5 foot-candle where the adequate light levels for clerical work are
75 - 150 ft-candle.
Hazard: visual fatigue
Among other methods one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is
to increase the wattage of the lamps and/or increase the number of lamps
in the illumination
system.
En el edificio centro de operaciones: El sistema de iluminacion dentro de
la oficina varia desde
18.8 a 53.5 pies-bujias donde el nivel de luz adecuado para trabajo
clerical es de 75 - 150 ft-
candle.
Riesgo: fatiga visual
Entre otros metodos uno accesible y factible para corregir este riesgo es
aumentar la potencia
en los vatios de las lamparas y/o aumentar el numero de lamparas en el
sistema de iluminacion.

At the construction external plant building (1st level): Sections of a
wall were observed with
black stains and crumpled paint, the floor's vinyl tiles were also
crumpled where electrical
receptacles were installed.
Hazard: slipping and falls on rainy days
Among other methods one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is
to restore the ceiling with concrete and sealing compound.
En el edificio construccion planta externa (1er nivel): Secciones de una
pared fueron observadas
con manchas negras y pintura arrugada, la loseta de vinil del piso tambien
se encontraba aupada
donde habian unos receptaculos electricos instalados.
Riesgo: resbalones y caidas en dias lluviosos
Entre otros metodos uno accesible y factible para corregir este riesgo es
reparar el techo con
cemento y compuesto sellador.
