Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the office - employer had employees exposed to fecal feces odors and
waste water, everytime
the manhole across the street from the office flooded.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct hazard is to fix
or install new pipelines or look for a new location.
Hazard: Employees may become sick due to bacteria and other pathogenic
organisms such as
Escherichia Coli, among others.
En la oficina - patrono tenia empleados expuestos a olores de heces
fecales y aguas negras, cada
vez que el registro frente a la oficina se inundaba.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo factible y aceptable de corregir este
riesgo es arreglar o instalar
nueva tuberia o buscar un local nuevo.
Riesgo: Empleados podrian enfermarse debido a las bacterias y otros
organismos patogenicos
como Escherichia Coli, entre otros.
