Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the construction area - the hook of the crane Grove S/N 43562, load
capacity of 22 tons was
not equipped with safety latch for purpose of retaining slings and chains
according to ANSI
B30.10b-1991, Sec 10-1.2.3 (c). Also, two of the four slings, the safety
latchs were missing and
the other two were defectives.
Hazard: The sling or chain get out from hook due to sudden movements.
Area de carga - el gancho de la grua Grove, S/N 43562, capacidad de carga
de 22 toneladas no
fue equipada con un cerrojo de seguridad para propositos de retener
eslingas y cadenas segun
el ANSI B.30.10b-1991, Sec 10-1.2.3 (c). Tambien, dos de las cuatro
eslingas, los cerrojos de
seguridad no los tenian y los otros dos estaban defectuosos.
Riesgo: La eslinga o cadena puede salirse del gancho debido a movimientos
inesperados.
