Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer
did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At Garcia Trucking Services:  In the trucks that the employees uses to
transport the
freight cars and movings, seven instances were observed in which buckets,
plastic boxes
and wood seats were used to add a third seat to the truck that only have
two seats (one
for the driver and one for a passenger) and then they can carry two
passengers,
but the
passenger in the additional seat do not have safety belt.  An appropriate
method to
correct this hazard is adding the seat that the manufacturer provide for
this, which have
the safety belt.

Hazard:  In case that the truck brakes instantly or in case of accident,
the passenger
without the safety belt can be expulsed to the front and been hit.
En Garcia Trucking Services:  En los camiones que los empleados usan para
transportar
vagones y mudanzas, se observaron siete casos en los cuales se utilizaban
cubos,
cajas
de plastico y asientos de madera para anadir un tercer asiento al camion
que solo provee
dos asientos (uno para el chofer y uno para un pasajero) y asi poder
llevar dos pasajeros,
pero el pasajero que va en el asiento que se anade no tiene cinturon de
seguridad.  Un
metodo apropiado para corregir este riesgo es el anadir el asiento que
provee el
fabricante para esto, el cual tiene el cinturon de seguridad incluido.

g)  Camion marca Ford 8000 con tablilla 3651-HP.Riesgo:  En caso de que el
camion frene de momento o en caso de algun accidente, el
pasajero sin cinturon de seguridad puede ser expulsado hacia adelante y
golpearse.
