Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: At the freezers area of the establishment: The employer did not provide personal protection clothing consisting in a type of jacket to keep basal temperature and dry conditions of the employees in charge of handling and storage of final products under kooling temperatures (2C/34F) provided by three (3) koolers, exposing the employees to the hazard of skin burns and respiratory tract diseases. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to provide an overcoat and or jacket to be used by the exposed employees. En el area de congeladores del establecimiento: El patrono no proveyo indumentariade proteccion personal consistente en un tipo de chaqueta para mantener la temperatura basal y condiciones secas de los empleados a cargo de manipular y almacenar productos terminados bajo condiciones de temperatura de congelacion (2C/34F) provistas por tre (3) congeladores, exponiendo a los empleados al riesgo de quemaduras de la piel y enfermedades del tracto respiratorio. Entre otros metodos, un metodo accesible y aceptable para corregir este riesgo es proveer un abrigo y/o chaqueta para ser usado por los empleados expuestos.
