Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: At the Administrative Office of Agriculture Department: While the employee performing their tasks, it were observed fissured sections on the ceiling of the estructure. This fissures in rainy days permited rain watter filtrate and did fall on the floor making slippery. Hazard: Slippings and falls on raining days. Among other method, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to restore a new the ceiling with concrete and a sealing compound. En las Oficinas Administrativas del Departamento de Agricultura (Programa de Sanidad Vegetal): Mientras los empleados realizaban sus tareas, se observaron secciones resquebradas del techo de la estructura. Estas fisuras en dias lluviosos permiten que se filtre agua de lluvia y podrian causar resbalones en el piso. Riesgo: Resbalos y caidas en dias de lluvia. Entre otros metodos, un metodo accesible y aceptable para corregir este riesgo es reparar de nuevo el techo con cemento y un compuesto sellador.
