Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not furnish
employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized
hazards that were
causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that
employees were exposed
to:

empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que puedan causar
muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban
expuestos a:
At the Junior High School Antonio R Barcelo: Teachers instructed students
in home economics
and special education classes.  There were two instances in which
employees were exposed to
facet, shower and fountain potable water, which were contaminated with
used water:
1. At the Home Economic Room, a teacher used potable water from facets to
cook
and clean dishes and kitchen utensils;
2. at the Special Education Room, a teacher used potable water from a
facet,
shower and water fountain to wash students and drink.
Hazard: Come in contact or ingest potable water contaminated with used
water.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard
is to repair the water pipes.
En la Escuela Intermedia Antonio R. Barcelo: Maestras instruyen a
estudiantes en
economia domestica y clases de educacion especial.  Hubieron dos
instancias en que
empleados fueron expuestos a agua potable contaminadas con aguas usadas de
grifo,
duchas y fuentes de agua:
1. En el Salon de Economia Domestica, una maestra usa agua potable de
grifos
para cocinar y lavar utensilios de cocina y platos;
2. En el Salon de Educacion Especial, una maestra usaba agua potable de un
grifo
ducha y fuente de agua para lavar estudiantes y beber.
Riesgo: Entrar en contacto o ingerir agua potable contaminadas con aguas
usadas
Entre otros metodos accesible y aceptable para corregir este riesgo es
reparar las tuberias
de agua.
