exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the pastry area: The employer did not provide the use of safety devices
and or
safeguards to eliminate the hazard of entrapment and death from exposition
to low
temperatures and or burns and smoke related injuries in an event of
electrical failure and
or fire during the operations of handling and storage of materials inside
the Bakery
Cooler, model FW-3677-11TWNL, serial 227690-D3, in which the locking
handle of the
outlet safety emergency system was broken and with cutting ends at the
welding point.
Among other methods, one feasible and abatement method to correct this
hazard is to
replace anew the locking handle of the outlet safety emergency system.
En el area de reposteria: El patrono no proveyo el uso de aparatos de
seguridad y/o
salvaguardias necesarias para eliminar el riesgo de entrampamiento y
muerte por
exposicion a bajas temperaturas y/o quemaduras y lesiones por inhalacion
de humo,
durante las operaciones de manipulacion y almacenaje de materiales en el
interior del
Bakery Cooler, modelo FW-3677-11TWNL, serie 227690-D3, en el cual la
manija con
cerradura del sistema de seguridad de salida de emergencia estaba rota y
con extremos
cortantes en el punto de soldadura.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo accesible y aceptable para corregir este
riesgo es
reemplazar de nuevo la manija con cerradura del sistema de seguridad de
salida
de
emergencia.

hazard of
entrapment and death from exposition to low temperatures and or burns and
smoke
related injuries, in an event of failure in the establishment's electrical
system and or fire
inside freezer.
Among other methods, one feasible and abatement method to correct this
hazard is to
eliminate the practice to storage materials next to the emergengy exit
system inside the
freezer.
En el area de produccion de la cocina principal: Materias primas
contenidas en cajas de
carton fueron almacenadas dentro del Congelador general marca American
Panel, serie
9769A, obstruyendo la manija con cerradura del sistema de seguridad de
emergencia,
exponiendo a los empleados al riesgo de entrampamiento y muerte por
exposicion a bajas
temperaturas y/o quemaduras y lesiones por inhalacion de humo, en un
evento de fallo
en el sistema electrico del establecimiento o fuego dentro del congelador.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo accesible y aceptable para corregir este
riesgo es
eliminar la practica de almacenar materiales proximo al sistema de salida
de emergencia
dentro del congelador.

diseases of the respiratory tract, as result of prolonged exposition
during the operations
of handling and storage of materials inside two (2) freezers trademark
American Panel,
model PH3677-11DWNL, serial 227690-04 and, freezer AP, model FW3477-
11TNWNL, serial 24860A respectively.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this
hazard is to provide personal protective equipment against low
temperatures effects such
as but not limited to impervious jackets.
En la cocina de banquetes: El patrono no proveyo indumentaria para
proteccion del
cuerpo (chaquetas) contra los efectos de temperaturas bajas, exponiendo a
los empleados
a enfermedades ocupacionales de las vias respiratorias, como resultado de
la exposicion
prolongada durante las operaciones de manipulacion y almacenaje de
materiales dentro
de dos (2) congeladores marca American Panel modelo PH3677-11DWNL, serie
227690-
04 y, el congelador AP, modelo FW3477-11TNWNL, serie 24860A,
respectivamente.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo accesible y aceptable para corregir este
riesgo es proveer
el equipo de proteccion personal contra los efectos de bajas temperaturas
tales como pero
no limitado a chaquetas impermeables.
