Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At Farmacias El Amal, employees moved merchandise from the warehouse on
the second
floor to the first floor with an inadecuate ilumination as specified in
the ANSI/IESRP-7-
1991. In a section of the entrance hall the ilumination had 0 foot candles.
Hazard: Strumbles and falls.
One feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard among
others could
be:
Change the bulb of the lamps.
Relocate the merchandize.
En las Farmacias El Amal, empleados movieron mercancia del almacen en el
segundo
piso hacia el primer piso con una iluminacion inadecuada, segun
especificado en el
ANSI/IESRP-7-1991. En una seccion del pasillo de la entrada la iluminacion
era 0 pie
bujias.
Riesgo: Tropezones y caidas.
Un metodo aceptable y factible para corregir este riesgo entre otros seria:
Cambiar las bombillas de las lamparas.
Relocalizar la mercancia.r
