Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: At the Casino: Full loaded buckets, 4 1/2 galons capacity, containing coins (5 cents, 25 cents), aproximatelly 150 lbs; were individually, being lifted and transported by employees. At the time of inspection, coins buckets were being poured into counting machines, trade mark Universal Machinery Co. serial 360D174; 360-0119 at 45" high. Hazard: Back injuries due lifting of heavy loads over the weight established. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to extend collection periods, so buckets did not become full loaded as to be easilly handled. En el Casino: Cubos llenos, con capacidad de 4 1/2 galones, conteniendo monedas (5 centavos, 25 centavos), aproximadamente 150 libras, eran individualmente levantados y transportados por empleados. Al momento de inspeccion, cubos con monedas eran vertidos en maquinas contadoras marca Universal Machinery Co. serie 360D174; 360-0119 a 45" de alto. Riesgo: Lesiones en la espalda debido a levantamiento de cargas pesadas sobre el peso establecido. Entre otros metodos, un metodo aceptable y posible para corregir este riesgo es exceder los periodos de colecta para que los cubos no se llenen totalmente y sean facilmente manejables.
