A.R.S. 23-403.A.: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees in that the employer permitted the use of welded automotive tire rims that were positioned on the left and right sides of a vehicle to support the suspended weight of such vehicle in lieu of using approved vehicle support stands placed on a firm foundation to prevent the support system from failing: (a) Center southwest section of the yard: An employee was working under a Grand Wagoneer 4X4 Station Wagon that was suspended at least 36" above ground that did not have an adequate support system installed (i.e., vehicle support stands), to prevent the vehicle from collapsing onto the employee underneath in accordance with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the American National Standards Institute (ASME/ANSI Pald-4C-1991 and Pald-2-1987).
