Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The %% employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) The "little house" used for storage of merchandise is in such a condition of disrepair that the wood flooring was visibly deteriorated from age, the flooring support beams had shifted causing the floor to slope. This presents a walking/working hazard to employees who have to enter the building. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to remove all the merchandise from the area and restrict all employees from entering the building by locking or boarding up the entrance.
