free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death
or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to:
a) Main Bay, Furnace Area; employees are exposed to furnace explosions
and molten metal runouts in that the safety features (leak detectors,
low water pressure, over temperature devices) on the4000#, 600 KW
Tri Line Inductoherm Corp. electric furnace are inoperable.
One feasible method of abatement, among others, is the repair and
development of a preventative maintenance program in accordance with
the furnace manufacturer's instruction manual to insure the correct and
proper functioning of the furnace's safety features.

One method of abatement, among others, is the thorough examination of
the track and supports by a qualified engineer and the installation of
suspension fitting and supporting structure in accordance with AISC
Manual of Steel Construction.
