Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The %% employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to injury from vehicle rollovers: a) Employee who was operating a BOMAG BW 2130 single roller equipment on the eastbound (past 206 mile marker) right shoulder near the edge of a sloped bank, was exposed to injury form equipment rollovers in that the equipment was not equipped with a rollover protective structure (ROPS), April 26, 1994. AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO INSTALL A ROLLOVER PROTECTIVE STRUCTURE (ROPS) ON THE EQUIPMENT.
