Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: the employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) Building 14, temporary bracing of 1" x 4" lumber was utilized in all places. Lateral bracing was not secured to the end member. One feasible and acceptable method of abatement, among others would be the installation of the trusses in accordance with the recommendations of BWT-76, "Bracing Wood Trusses", prepared by the Truss Plate Institute.
