Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) 2555 Delk Road, Marietta - Hazard of being struck by bursting or exploding copressed gas cylinders. Employees modify dot specification 8, steel cylinders rated at 250 psi. Employees were in close proximity to overcharged cylinder (1900 psi). Among other methods, one feasbile and acceptable method of abatement is to discontinue practice of modifying acetylene cylinders for use as air cylinders.
