Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to electrical hazards located at 1160 North 750 West, Paul, Idaho: (a) The light switch box was not equipped with a switch; employees connected the two bare conducting wires to energize the light in the upstairs northwest bedroom. (b) The light fixture in the northwest bedroom was hang- ing from the conducting wires exposing the conductors. The fixture designed for two bulbs was equipped with only one bulb exposing energized parts. (c) The circuit breaker box located in the northwest base- ment bedroom was not equipped with cover exposing the conductors and terminals. (d) The electrical outlet in the southwest basement bed- room was not equipped with a cover. (e) The electrical outlet box used to energize the down- stair's refrigerator was pulled away from and sticking out of the wall exposing the conductors. (f) The electrical outlet box in the room off the basement bedroom was pulled away from and sticking out of the wall exposing the conductors. Among the methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to cor- rect these hazards is to install or repair fixtures and wiring according to the National Electrical Code.
