free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death
or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to
the hazard of being injured by a flying projectile:
JOBSITE: A RUBBER "MUNI BALL" USED FOR PLUGGING AN UNDERGROUND WATER
LINE WAS BEING INFLATED BY AN INGERSOL RAND AIR COMPRESSOR WHEN IT
RUPTURED.
Feasible abatement method: Use a hand operated air pump to inflate the
muni ball or use compressed air through a proper pressure regulatory
device limited to 35 psi.
