AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO INSTALL A COVER OR FACEPLATE.

Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place or employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to electrical shock from live electrical conductors: WAREHOUSE: THE FLEXIBLE CORD THAT ENERGIZED THE NUMBER ONE CONVEYOR WAS SPLICED INADEQUATELY, IN THAT THERE WERE LIVE ELECTRICAL CONDUCTORS EXPOSED. AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO USE A CONTINUOUS LENGTH FLEXIBLE CORD FROM SWITCH TO MOTOR.

AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO GUARD BLADE, FRONT AND BACK, USING MATERIAL THAT HAS OPENINGS NO LARGER THAN ONE-HALF INCH.
