Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which
were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause
death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were
exposed to:
(a)  Working on a roof with a pitch of less than 4 in 12 and
eaves 22 feet above ground level without being provided
with a means of fall protection.
Some feasible and acceptable abatement methods, among
others, used by this industry are;
(1)  A catch platform installed below the work area.
(2)  Static line with safety belts and lanyards.
(3)  Use of a Motion Stopping Safety System.
(4)  Nets.
(5)  Guardrails.
