General-duty citation text
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The emloyer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) The hazard of electrocution in that the employee(s) were standing waist deep in seawater using portable electrical tools to effect repairs on a boat dock. The boat bock is located to the east of Fisherman's Landing Restaurant at 190 - 128th Avenue, Madeira Beach, Florida in an area below the boardwalk on the north side of Johns Pass. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is the use of pneumatic power tools.
